FAQs

I’m not sure what I need help with in my practice, can you still work with me?

Not only YES but that is one of my specialties. Through intense listening and focus on you, I can help any clinician understand and move toward new goals. I do that through experiential coaching, but also train therapists how to do intensive work and experiential work.

I’ve heard of intensive therapy but what is it?

An “intensive” is an extended amount of therapy with one client, couple, or group at one time. It typically consists of four hours to several days.

I’m used to doing 50 minute sessions, can I really work with a single client for hours or days at a time?

Absolutely!  I know it can be daunting to think about, but I provide coaching to help clarify how/what to do. With a clear plan and support it just might be easier than you think.

What is experiential therapy?

Experiential therapy is a therapeutic technique that uses a wide variety of expressive techniques like: role playing, props, “sculpting” and many others to affect powerful change. It often involves movement and activities.

Can I use experiential therapy in my regular therapy office?

Definitely. There are many techniques that can be done in the typical private practice office and with clients of all ages/presenting issues.

What is experiential coaching?

Experiential coaching combines typical coaching techniques with experiential exercises to help achieve goal more quickly and powerfully. I have developed a unique experiential coaching method that has many set exercises and can also be tailored to meet the unique needs of my coaching clients.

Can you do experiential coaching for me if I’m not local?

Of course! I do very effective coaching through most video platforms and by phone.
